Considered first of its kind Illadelph served as a model for other noted Street Dance festivals such as Step Your Game Up, Style Is King and the House Intensive to name just a few. Celebrating 20 consecutive years, Illadelph Legends Festival will have a full schedule of master classes, lecture demonstrations, open jam sessions, panel discussions, and break-out sessions from 9 am-5 pm daily. Focusing on the re-educating of Hip-hop culture and Street dance the festival will cover classes in Street Dance styles such as but not limited to Hip-hop, House, Breaking, Campbell Locking, Popping & Boogaloo, Waacking, Vogue, Lofting, Lite Foot, Wu-Tang and Dance Hall. The Illadelph Legends Festival brings together some of the most influential and inspirational instructors from around the world to teach and mentor festival participants ranging from students to professionals and emerging practitioners. These originators and renowned practitioners of the various hip-hop culture and Street Dance styles Will provide hands one experience and mentorship with students and locals of Philadelphia. In addition this festival houses a unique scholarship program for local residents that provides not only mentorship from Rennie Harris and the members of Rennie Harris Puremovement but performance opportunity and additional training via the afternoon program in selected schools of Philadelphia Pa. Rennie Harris Puremovement presents a full evening length presentation of Street Dance Theater, teach workshops and then finally Identify a select few to be mentored and trained for the next 6 months leading up to Illadelph Legends Festival. This is done via volunteer service to the community of Philadelphia. We are also in collaboration with Philadanco who has provided space for this festival and the opportunity for Rennie Harris Puremovement to teach workshops for the its immediate community which also culminates in a performance.
